Awright, so Shinji and Kaworu are drift compatible and their Jaeger is named Quatre Mains because it has a second set of arms hidden in the chest area (durr).
It’s a lot like Unit 13 and it’s got two modes : a defensive mode, where it fights with only two arms (the second pair wrapped around the chest area serves as extra protection and plating to keep the core safe and sound) and an offensive mode, where the metallic restrains on the arms fall off, making the Jaeger lighter, quicker, and liberating the second pair of arms. Pilots probably control one set of arms each, which is a bit straining, but WHO THE FUCK CARES. FOUR ARMED GIANT ROBOTS, YO.
Oh and they can pull the spear of Longinus out of their ass because WHY NOT
