wey-yu sends out a search and rescue team to recover the missing nostromo and its expensive cargo when the ship never makes it back to port. last known location: moon LV-426. john egbert is assigned as science officer and has his own set of orders: investigate LV-426 for any signs of extraterrestrial life, and to study and bring back what he found. no questions asked. when all hell begins to break loose, john reveals that the companys first priority was never finding the nostromo or the ore it was carrying… and he makes the decision to abandon the orders he was given for the sake of the lives on board and for fear of what the company wanted with this lifeform to begin with
then we’ve got dave as the ships navigator (who, if hes being honest, thinks the new SO is kinda hot (and vice versa eyy)). due to their jobs on board they dont spend much time together until theyre united due to their dire situation

Reverse Loophole would involve Vriska using cute John to rob people. Or banks. Or run the mob. Because Vriska. John would sit happily at her feet playing with trucks while Vriska backstabbed at least four people and she takes him out for victory ice cream afterward.
