I LUV this because Derek was standing closer to Stiles in the first gif, then in the second gif he’s apparently WALKED BACKWARDS AWAY FROM STILES and is in the process of stepping forward to the spot he was before in the first gif. DEREK!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DON’T MOONWALK AWAY FROM YOUR HEART. 

I ALWAYS CONSIDERED THIS SUPERB CHARACTERIZATION. Like, STILES IS ALL STARING DEEPLY INTO MY EYES WITH TREMBLING DEFIANT AVAILABLE-NESS, whoah, I should leave. I’M LEAVING NOW. Okay, now. OKAY NOW. OKAY WAIT NOW MY BONER HAS STAGED A HOSTILE TAKEOVER AND IT SAYS WE’RE STAYING. Look at his face in the last gif! That’s a “GODDAMNIT, BONER, U R THE WORST!” face if I ever saw one.

you know, i think if we just assume Derek Hale’s boner has staged a hostile takeover every time Derek makes a bad decision, the entire show—and Derek’s choices—will make WAY more sense.

What if Derek Hale’s boner is an actual sentient being and it communicates with him telepathically and that is why there are so many moments where he pauses and looks considering before he actually speaks. Also half the time it happens he kinda looks like he wants to say something and then decides to say something else and this is because his boner is kind of a kill joy, Derek Hale is actually a very open and honest person it’s his dick that has trust issues.
