Right so im walking home and I see this guy rolling a cigarette under a streetlamp and when he clicked his lighter THE FUCKING STREETLIGHT WENT OUT

I stopped in my tracks and stared at this guy who looks up at me then to his lighter and hes as surprised as me then he takes his thumb off the trigger and THE STREETLIGHT TURNS BACK ON

HE GAVE THE MOST SURPRISED LOOK OF ANYONE EVER AND THEN SHOUTED “LATER MUGGLES” AND FUCKING RAN OFF

No guys, I need to stop and talk about something in this movie and how fucking revolutionary it was; something that I haven’t seen in a movie before or since.

This is a movie about a kid who leaves her birth family.

Not a kid who find that they have a secret lineage or something that allows them to find their ‘true family’ – this is a movie about a kid whose true birth family is made up of bad people. So she gets out. And that is played as the right thing to do. She isn’t punished for it or made to feel bad about ‘abandoning her family’. There isn’t an underlying ‘but they’re your family and you have to love them’ or ‘they’re your family and they love you even if they don’t show it well or do hurtful things’ message of the kind that I see OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER in media. Matilda gets out and lives happily ever after because of it.

We need a million more movies like this to counter the metric shit ton of movies that directly counter this message.

i really hate seeing children at gay rallies. in most cases, they don’t understand what they’re doing and what they’re promoting. i think most children are pressured into going to gay rallies by their parents and, therefore, pressured into believing in gay marriage. 

Excuse you, I knew about homosexuality since I was four. With five years I could already argue about it and with six I had a formed opinion. All my motherS did was explain to me what it was, without ever telling me if it was good of bad.

The truth is that is actually easier for kids to understand homosexuality, and maybe even accept it, if they are told about it at a young age.  

Yes, maybe the two-years-old kids there are not sure of whats going on, but their parents are raising them to open their minds and accept differences without it being a huge deal.

It’s funny how people don’t mind dragging kids at sundays to the church, to make them sit and listen to things they can’t understand nor question, but it’s so wrong to take them to a walk were they can see pretty rainbows , and later understand what they mean.

This is bullshit.
